Everything you need to know about Immersia — how it works, what it costs, and how to get started. Can't find what you're looking for? Email us at contact@getimmersia.com.

What is Immersia?

Immersia is a real-time sync platform that lets a guide, presenter, or host control what every audience member sees and hears on their own phone — simultaneously. When the guide advances a slide, every screen updates instantly. When the guide speaks, their voice streams to every phone. AI translates everything in real time for 65+ languages. Smart glasses support is built in for hands-free experiences. No guest ever needs to download an app — they scan a QR code and join through their browser in seconds.

How does it work for guests?

Your guests see a QR code — printed on a sign, a lanyard, a brochure, or displayed on a screen. They point their phone camera at it, tap the link, and they're in. No app store. No download. No account. No login. Their browser opens directly into the live experience, and whatever you show or say reaches their device in real time. It works the same on iPhone, Android, and tablets.

What devices does it work on?

Any modern smartphone or tablet with a browser — iPhones (Safari), Android phones (Chrome), iPads, and Android tablets. Guests need a cellular or WiFi connection to join. The host device (the one controlling slides) works best on a smartphone or tablet with a data connection. Smart glasses with browser capability — such as Vuzix, Rokid, or Xreal models — can also join the experience.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. This is the most important difference between Immersia and most competitors. Guests join entirely through their phone's browser. No app store, no download, no install, no update. For guides who want repeat guests to have a faster experience, Immersia runs as a Progressive Web App — guests can optionally add it to their home screen with one tap, and it works offline for cached content.

How many languages does AI translation support?

65+ languages in real time — both voice-to-text captions and spoken audio translation. A guide speaking English can be heard in Japanese, Arabic, German, Mandarin, French, and Spanish simultaneously by different guests, each on their own device. The translation happens on-device through the browser, with no third-party interpreter required.

Does it work offline or with poor connectivity?

Immersia is designed as a Progressive Web App, which means it caches your tour content — slides, images, and pre-loaded media — on each guest's device after the first load. If a guest briefly loses signal in a dead zone, the cached content remains visible. Live voice streaming and real-time slide sync require an active connection, but the PWA architecture means the experience degrades gracefully rather than breaking. For fully offline experiences, guests who add Immersia to their home screen before the tour starts can access cached tours without any connection.

What does it cost?

A free plan is available with 1 tour or event, 50 slides, and 1 GB of media storage — enough to run a complete walking tour or gallery walk and see if Immersia works for your audience. Paid plans start at $99/month and scale by the number of active tours, media storage, and concurrent guests. Annual billing saves 20%. Visit the pricing page for full details. There are no per-guest fees and no hidden usage charges.

How do I get started?

Create a free account at getimmersia.com/signup. Upload your first tour's images and slides. Generate a QR code from your dashboard. Print it or display it at your meeting point. When guests arrive, they scan and join. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time when you need more tours, more storage, or more concurrent guests.

Can I embed Immersia on my own website?

Yes. Paid plans include an embed option that lets you place the Immersia experience directly on your own site — your domain, your branding. Guests never leave your page. This is available on the Professional plan and above.

Is white-label branding available?

Yes, on Professional and Enterprise plans. Your guests see your logo, your colours, and your branding — not ours. The QR code, the loading screen, and the in-experience interface all carry your identity. Immersia is invisible to your audience.

What about smart glasses?

Immersia supports smart glasses that include a web browser — models from Vuzix, Rokid, Xreal, and similar manufacturers. Guests wearing smart glasses see slides and visual overlays directly in their field of view, hands-free. This is especially useful for museum tours, factory walkthroughs, and training demonstrations where guests need their hands free. Setup is the same: scan a QR code, join through the glasses' browser.

How is security and privacy handled?

All data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3. Media and account data are stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure in US regions. Payments are processed through Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — we never see or store your credit card number. Guests joining a tour do not need to create an account or provide personal information. For full details, see our security page and privacy policy.

Do guests need to create an account?

No. Guests join anonymously through a QR code — no account, no login, no password, no email required. They can optionally provide an email address if the host has enabled guest contact collection (useful for follow-up marketing), but it is never mandatory. The host controls their own account; guests simply join the experience.

Can I use my own slides and content?

Yes — every tour, every presentation, and every event is built from your own content. You upload your images, videos, and audio files. You arrange them in the order you want. You control them live. Immersia is the delivery layer; the content is entirely yours. We never reuse, share, or republish your tour content.

What happens if someone loses their connection?

Cached slides and images remain visible on the guest's device even if the connection drops. Live slide sync and voice streaming pause until the connection returns, at which point the guest rejoins automatically at the current slide. The experience is designed to recover gracefully — most guests in urban environments or conference venues won't notice brief interruptions.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The free plan is a full-featured trial — not a time-limited demo. It includes 1 tour or event, 50 slides, and 1 GB of media storage with no expiration. Run real tours with real guests on the free plan for as long as you need. When you're ready for more tours, more storage, or premium features like white-label branding and embed support, upgrade to a paid plan.

How many guests can join at once?

There is no hard technical limit — Immersia's infrastructure scales automatically with demand. Your plan determines the number of concurrent guests included. Free plan: up to 10 concurrent guests. Professional plan: up to 500. Enterprise: unlimited. If you have a one-time event that exceeds your plan limit, contact us for a temporary capacity bump.

Can I stream live voice alongside the slides?

Yes. Voice streaming is a core feature. The guide speaks into their device's microphone, and that audio reaches every guest's phone in real time — no external microphone system, no radio transmitters, no headsets to distribute. Guests hear the guide through their own phone speaker or headphones. Combined with slide sync and AI translation, it creates a complete live guided experience on every phone.

Does Immersia work for multiple simultaneous tours or sessions?

Yes. Each tour or session has its own unique QR code and runs independently. A tour operator running three walking tours at once, a conference with five breakout sessions, or a museum with multiple docent-led groups can all operate simultaneously without interference. Each host controls their own session from their own device.
